I recently listened to message that resonated with me. It shook me to my core. It brought certain truths to light. T.D.Jakes preached a message about humility, and being patient and obedient in the process. Everything you go through; every trial you face, every test you pass, every essay you write. God was is and will always be there. God enabled you to come as far as you have, to walk as far as you walked, to live as long as you lived.
Have you ever been in a situation where you couldn’t help yourself? Where you couldn’t see a way out? Where there was no hope? You were wonderfully and truly stuck. Why are you here today? How did you get out of it? What happened in that situation, that you able to look back, in a different place to where you were? Maybe you had an idea, (one you wouldn’t usually come up with), maybe someone came through for you (someone you were not expecting), maybe a miracle occurred (a miracle you could never had predicted). It’s simple. God brought you out of your situation, time and time again. Recognise it was not by your strength alone. You don’t need to fight, you don’t need to be strong, you don’t need to save yourself. Just trust God, the battle is his.
He shields. He protects. He enables. He strengthens. He restores. He rejuvenates. He heals. He delivers. He rescues. He gratifies. He saves. He loves.
Everything you are today, is by the grace of God. Everything I am today, is by the grace of God. Everything we are today, is by the grace of God. Grace is scandalous. We don’t deserve it, yet here we are basking in it. Draw closer to him. He is everything you need, and more. Most importantly, be thankful in the process and be thankful afterwards!
